Florida Substation: City Power technical teams remain on site attending to the unplanned outage affecting customers in Georginia, Discovery, Florida and Hamberg.
Since early this morning, teams have been conducting extensive fault-finding operations to locate the cable fault between the station and the Mechanical No. 1 Ring Main Unit. The complexity of the fault has made it difficult to pinpoint the exact location at this stage.
Technical personnel will remain on site until the fault is successfully located and repairs are completed. Once the fault has been isolated, repair work will commence immediately to enable the safe restoration of supply to affected customers.
City Power appeals to customers for continued patience while teams work tirelessly to restore electricity supply as quickly and safely as possible.
