I got accused of scamming people because I offer coaching. Why do people think coaching is a scam? Is it because it's related to a video game, or because they don't believe coaching is actually useful? or is it another reason? or did I actually get ragebaited succesfully

I think people write off the time and effort people take to invest in mastering their craft bc they say it’s “just a game,” to cope w their own lack of success, really underselling how complex and difficult League actually is. Which is weird bc you don’t often hear that same stigma around an instrument, say the piano, or like a sport so I wonder why people approach games in such a reductionist way..
