My dad moved from wigan to Port Talbot in the 60s. When "English go home" was painted on rocks over Brecon and on bridges. He was terrified of what was to come. What came was an amazing welcome, a family, job and a very happy life as an honorary welshman. These takes are nonsense

Particularly impressive for the smaller parties who don’t have the big machine or funds..just a group of dedicated workers

The success in the Cardiff elections wasn’t easy. We met with every community and knocked on every door for almost 7–8 weeks. Hard work, unity, and listening to people made the difference. For a brighter future and a united Wales.

I have never been hated in Port Talbot for simply being English - Welsh people are good, warm hearted and kind. Beca now needs to grow up. And Plaid, like it or not, legitimately won a mandate to govern. Time to dig in and oppose with a respectful nod to the electorate, and professionally.

The Senedd’s unionist bloc, which makes up the majority, should simply refuse to co-operate with Plaid Cymru. Paralyse them This means no deals, no budget-passing votes. Nothing. Isolate their separatist cause and work for the greater good of the Union instead.
