MOTHER MARY is pretty good when it’s just a withering chamber piece between Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel but then it mutates into the kind of haunting, hypnotic, metaphysical ghost story that David Lowery excels at. Kind of his Guadagnino’s SUSPIRIA!

@traumadumpling bc a 2.5 with a heart means the film wasn’t very good but it was very enjoyable and a good time was had, whereas a 4 with no heart means it’s a beautifully crafted film but it goes slow and it’s kinda hard to get into
