This is not about “risking” an aspect of a show to please the fans; most of the Bridgerton stories are straight, yet they paid attention to all the fans. And, of course, we will be watching. You simply cannot profit from the queer audience if you are not going to represent them. You can't build a world about outsiders and then sideline or erase your queer characters.
