@philcraig2 @CheckersSA I agree the 60/60 staff at Checkers Glenvista JHB would push you out the way, running to the next isle and be completely oblivious to the fact that you are a customer. Management would stand around talking and not even be aware. Definitely busy loosing me as a customer.

Dear @CheckersSA Two observations from a regular customer: 1) Your 60/60 in-store shoppers are a total menace who habitually expect customers to give way to them 2) Your cashiers would rather talk to each other than their customers Not isolated incidents, normal behavior ☹️

@AramexSa. Such bad service from this company. I have been waiting for a parcel from 18 Nov’21 and despite various calls and on-line queries in an attempt to get this resolved I am getting nowhere. Shocking.

@bkp_01 @brucebusiness @MassmartSA At this branch it looks like staff socials are held in the aisles All the time. Avoiding customers seems to be part of the training, no service at all.

@brucebusiness @MassmartSA Hear hear Bruce, I once stood in the aisle at Builders The Glen and shouted as loud as I could - “is there anybody to help me”- suddenly all and sundry appeared including managers. Always "hundreds" of staff standing in groups chatting amongst themselves but no one to help you.

Hey @MassmartSA - could we rebrand Builders Warehouse to Bewildered Warehouse? it captures the mood better of those of us who meander lost looking for help through the aisles. If you could advise me where to find a funnel, I have given up hope....

@lindaswidenbank Hi Linda. Very sad but as you know the mag publ industry has been struggling for years with decl circ, reduced adv rev and digital not making up for loss in total rev. Our lockdown cut the 2-3 years we had left in print to build a sustainable digital model shorter overnight.

@antoncbotes news only just reaching me about the magazine markets in SA and decisions made. Very sorry to hear this.

Completely heart sore 💔 I remember going up against these formidable brands in the early days of my career at Media24 and Times Media, and reading these titles cover to cover. Days when print was king ☹️ I am genuinely heartbroken about this. So sorry Anton @antoncbotes

The economy is convulsing: Comair goes into business rescue, Caxton to close its magazine division and SARS expects tax losses of R285bn. And that's all in the space of a couple of hours on a bland autumn Tuesday.

In more bad news for the SA print industry, Caxton & CTP Publishers  & Printers Limited which publishes popular magazines such as Bona, Rooi Rose and Garden & Home, is bowing out of magazine publishing. LM
