Pocket VM's QEMU build running Ubuntu 22.04, on Ubuntu Touch on the JingPad. When you get the update, make sure to reset EFI & NVRAM, disable Wayland in gdm3 and make sure to restart the VM once for correct colors & fonts.

My open source hot take: if the code you're putting out can't be used by anyone to create anything, even a competing solution, under their own terms, you're not doing open source. Some thoughts on why I define it this way and why I think it matters...

I was welcomed with open arms and I finally found something I could call a home. Finally… To the whole UBports Community and members of the Ubuntu & Ubuntu Touch projects, everyone who worked on it, etc.: Thank you for adopting this motherfucker right here.

People might have noticed I spend a considerable amount of time on Ubuntu Touch, some of its apps and Halium, but they never understood why anybody would do it this way. It might be time for me to tell all of you the reasons. Some things you might not have expected. Here we go:

News from the Pixel 3a Ubuntu Touch laboratory: Assuming all prerequisites get merged the phone will feature Double-Tap-To-Wake, ADB authentication dialogs and hopefully fix that pesky little (randomly appearing) video playback bug, among other tiny updates.

@chrisfromgreec3 @nixcraft Well, you kind of answered the unspoken 'why' yourself there. They 'never installed anything on their computers'. So it would be a tall ask for them to install Linux.

@nixcraft I know a lot of people that never attempted to install anything on their computers. Not even a browser or a video player. They don't need any apps and still they are using windows and they don't even know there is an alternative.
