So stop using rodenticides, people. And ask your local government to stop as well.
Give A Shit About Nature@giveashitnature

Everyone acts like coyotes are plotting to murder your pets, steal your man, and commit tax fraud. But they're the best unpaid rodent control service in your neighborhood. Tens of thousands of coyotes live across North America's cities, even in Manhattan. Urban coyotes eat rodents and rabbits as their main diet, the same prey they've hunted for centuries. Chicago studies found they strongly avoid humans, shifting almost entirely to nighttime activity and using storm drains, rail lines, and power line corridors to stay out of sight. Most folks who live alongside them never even know they're there. As a top predator, coyotes help suppress raccoons, skunks, foxes, and rodents. When researchers removed them from golf courses and cemeteries, woodchuck numbers exploded. In rural areas, taking out coyotes led to more rodents overall and less rodent diversity. They also keep feral cat populations in check, which matters for ground-nesting birds. In all of recorded North American history, there have been just two confirmed fatal coyote attacks on humans. Two. You're more likely to be killed by a vending machine. Honest caveat: coyotes will take small pets if given an easy opportunity. Keep cats indoors and don't let small dogs roam unsupervised near green spaces at night. But the animal you're hating on is quietly managing pests in your backyard, dodging humans like a pro, and asking for nothing in return. That's not a villain. That's a good neighbor.

Open mouth breathing = illness, respiratory distress. OP likely tried putting water in this fledgling bird’s gaping mouth & aspirated them, bc that’s what happens when you try to care for a bird w/ no knowledge or experience. When are we going to call this for what it is - abuse?

it’s a beautiful tradition and i’m sure there’s a lot of yall who were also not aware of our practice so at least now a single unfortunate reaction can serve as a moment to learn about something you weren’t aware of before. I love arab women <33

to anyone who’s uncultured here’s how a zaghrouta sounds, which is clearly not yodeling. It’s a form of celebration preformed at weddings and moments of joy all around west asia and north africa learnt from many generations. calling it “weird” or brushing it off is disrespectful.
