@peteskomoroch For me it's not quite true. LLM answers have mislead me and wasted my time frequently. Now I search first with standard search, if I can't find, LLM is my backup, and I try the answer before investing much time. I see LLM as an arrow in my search quiver, but not the strongest

@mattyglesias True that politics should be less identity driven, but I appreciate most people I talk to are identity driven, so I appreciate the practicality. Let's tell our friends and neighbors to do better by thinking bigger than themselves and their identity groups

@ArneParrott yeah, life. i run into a musician, they 'play guitar', until you hear them, they might have been playing since the age of 7 all over the world with style and power and versatility, or they have picked it up 6 months and and practiced hard, but... every skill has this.

@washingtonpost Burning Man is not a festival. It makes no promises to customers, it does not have any burning man stages. Every year has weather, everyone participating knows to plan. To call it part of the festival industry is simply not truthful and creates wrong expectations

As an event, and an unusual one in a very harsh and unpredictable environment, the organization has no responsibility to the safety of attendees. Unlike a festival.

To continue using the wrong word causes people to think it is a festival like coachella or bottlerock, and nothing is further from the truth.

Burning man is not a festival. a festival is a series of concerts or shows or plays. Burning man is not that, because there are no spectators. Burning man does not bring in acts. It is an event.

If you are a web admin or business, remove the twitter share labels from your website. X's policies encouraging ugly speech don't deserve your support - and the data from those share images are a lifeblood. That is the boycott of X that we need.

Burning man is not a festival. Burning man is not for tourists. It's it a commitment to make art. I happen to have left early and avoided the mud, but were i there I would be enjoying.

We exodus'd at about 4, 4:15pm friday (hitting asphalt, which was slippery). According to BMmanTraffic, the gate closed "temporarily" at 7pm - and hasn't reopened. Although the adventure of burningman is the adventure, I'm glad to sit this one out. Flooded tents and no portos.

It's not the worst air pollution ever, but in terms of severity x people impacted it's the biggest human impact.

San Francisco's question is when rents drop. Landlords and developers are holding to about $3k to $4k per month for apartments, vacancies piling up. We don't need more building to solve the 'housing crisis'

I will miss being on twitter. I like the constraints of short form. Blowing off a little steam, carefully, now and again was fun. But the beginning of Musk Era has himself repeating a conspiracy theory, as expected, so I'll be out until things change. Do widzenia.
