A lot of morality is just unspoken cost benefit analysis and if 90% of Down syndrome babies get aborted so be it

@wolfeliterati queerness isn’t a “possible outcome” you prepare for in the same way as medical conditions. that framing doesn’t really apply and ends up treating identity like a defect scenario, which is the issue. queerness isn’t a condition you screen for at birth

i mean shes right if youre not ready for the possibility of your child being disabled or even queer then you should not have kids at all

@Aminok0 certain disabilities/conditions can absolutely be detected before birth through ultrasounds, blood tests, amniocentesis, etc. not all of them obviously, but many can

@trag1cangel @Feathered1Wings some disabilities are manageable and compatible with a good quality of life while others can involve severe pain or constant medical intervention so imo it just depends heavily on the situation
