@caboderoca Oh so you weren’t the first victim I see lol. It’s good to rest and relax. I had bad sinuses a couple days ago. It was miserable took sinus medicine nothing, went to sleep and woke up perfectly fine.
I didn't talk about my last church visit. If you are new to this God put it on my heart to visit churches. I have learned that most people think this is "church shopping" i'm sorry you think that, but i'm experiencing worshiping God in multiple places with multiple people who hopefully worship the same thing. I'm not looking for a home, i'm not looking for something that fits my preference.
Anyway. Last week I got blessed with a job. On the way to this job I get this beautiful view. I stop my car, take a photo and go to the job. At the end of this road on the left is a church. When I go past this church I felt that is where i'm going this Sunday. I did.
I don't look into these churches before I go. I don't know what denomination, what time they start, anything. I just show up on Sunday around 10:30. I usually interrupt Sunday school. These small country churches usually has Sunday school in the pews.
I walk in Sunday morning to an all black church. Of course Sunday school in the pews as usual I see a place for baptism so I guess it's baptist. They were discussing good things that had happened through the week and I spoke up too. After they conclude with a prayer I meet the pastor and he welcomes me to his church.
I'm the only white person here. Some may think this would feel strange, but it didn't. Different yes, but strange no. My childhood I was the minority in a majority black school. I was raised different. All churches I have been to feel "different".
Anyway some very magical things happen in this church, they worship a lot different compared to the white churches i've been to. In fact this church was purchased for $250 in 1819 by a freed slave. It is known as the oldest continuous Black congregation in the state of MS. Their history is displayed right next to the 10 commandments.
There was one moment that the church got up and walked to the front of the pews and held hands to pray. I remember this middle age woman looking at me inviting me to join them.
A white person in an all black church that was purchased from a freed slave. This is church, this is worship. Doesn't matter the color, doesn't matter the history. It is here now, doing it together as brothers and sisters.
People will never understand what I mean by visit churches. I wish they could experience what I experience as it truly is unbelievable.
@caboderoca For sure I don’t think it’s a bad thing in moderation. For me just looking for truth and I’ve realized that doesn’t come from news, social media, etc.
Parsley I started from seed last year. Made it through the winter and is stunning.
Doing a lot of garden work lately. It’s so peaceful there. I’m exhausted though.
Still haven’t kept up with the world, no news and no social feeds. It’s been good. You don’t realize how many unneeded emotions reading stuff brings.
Hope all is well.
You got what it takes? The #Teryx KRX4 1000 Lifted Edition sure does. #BredForTheMud#KRX#KRX1000Lifted#GoodTimes#Kawasaki

@JunesIphone Re: your posts on God. This is why I hike. No one will convince me there is not a higher power. This is not random. There is peace. It is still.
@JunesIphone I only stick around because of the people I’ve met here (like you) who I feel add value to my life with their thoughts, beliefs or things they create.
Oh yea it’s a dumpster fire. It does provide good news, but I’m doubting that news is even needed.
Things that don’t directly effect you. I was silent a long time. Now I feel the urge to post my opinion or knowledge on the subject. Seem things being talked about are things I’ve studied for years now.
I can clearly see the misinformation as I’m familiar. Others not so much, not their forte. Reason the bots use it, free money. Idk probably won’t be here much longer. Through my choice or not.
@JunesIphone I remember when DAT’s and MiniDisc tried to be a thing. I still have my AIWA Walkman from the 90’s. Streaming is cool, but I miss the old stuff a lot.
Curious if young people today listen to full albums. I feel lucky to have had the Linkin Park, Tool, 3 Days Grace, Eminem, Dre, Perfect Circle, Lifehouse, and many more in my younger days. They told a story through the album. Does this exist now?
