@cderedpanda it can be if you are organizing immigrant and or minority communities. They're the ones who really have no stake in the imperialist system and don't benefit from unequal imperial exchange and exploitation. I find that the most revolutionary orgs in the US are led by non-whites..

She was already a local labor leader in Stockton prior to joining up with Chavez to start their organization. She was not a child by any means. In 1967 she was 37 years old, had 7 children and had been working with Chavez for 5 years as co-founder of the NFWA and then the Negotiator for the UFW. She was previously a Secretary for the CSO, a Community Services Organization for Spanish speaking persons that Chavez utilized. She was certainly not "a child." She was the brains behind the organization and he was the spokesman the people saw, the frontman.
