@AnonymousDH206 Lol they share more things than most siblings do 😭 I get why Louis said he drops his manliness in his relationship with Harvey. He vented to his therapist whenever Harvey upset him, forced couple counseling when their relationship needed work, and now this might as well be canon

I actually wanted to repost that gif of the color contrast between Harvey’s dream and reality in s7 bcs it’s such a good catch. Then I remembered the cold blue scene was “I didn’t tell Donna about P bcs I didn’t want to create a problem when there isn’t one” and yeah never mind😭

the woman of harvey specter’s dreams, bathed in sunlight and warmth. angelic in white, with harvey’s initials on her. so angelic in fact, that this is one of the rare times on the entire show that we see donna without nail polish.

@Utopia1975enX It’s also one of my favorite seasons! Tbh, I still find one or two episodes boring, maybe bcs the cases aren’t as intense, but her growth makes it worth rewatching, especially after everything she went through in season 7. And Harvey’s growth just makes it the cherry on top.

@codabridge Seriously, it’s my favorite season. So many people hate it, think it’s boring. I just loved that Suits did that and that they gave SGR that opportunity to develop her character that way (they owed her!)

@codabridge And he is a textbook narcissist! Not only because his childhood trauma, he was selfish, self centered, controlling, manipulative, transactional. He could be a vulnerable narcissist but no less one. And he did need Donna’s attention and devotion. Paula saw right through it.

@codabridge A good therapist would have really helped Donna with her attachment to Donna and her mother. Paula not only got distracted but she never really addressed Harvey’s attachment to Donna

@Utopia1975enX I’m starting to see why you call him a narcissist. His version of ‘safe’ is tied to his ego’s sense of control, and he tried to apply it to a relationship which, unsurprisingly, doesn’t work that way. Losing that control was actual ‘sacrifice’, not whatever he called it. CMIIW 🙏🏻

@codabridge That is why narcissists almost always are cheaters. They didn’t separate from their mothers in a healthy way, and they don’t want to make the decision of growing up, of sorting those attachments. So Paula offered something but Donna offered something else. And he had to choose.

@Utopia1975enX So when he said “sacrifice,” he wasn’t choosing Donna over a safer option. he felt like he lost what he believed was a safe path with Paula until season 8. Donna’s resignation and P’s ultimatum knocked him off that path. Is that what you meant?

When you say “safe,” you mean that Harvey thought control and stability with Paula = safe, but in your view that wasn’t actually real safety, because real safety is being able to sit with fear while in love.

I agree with you. Harvey should’ve learned that for a long time Donna’s boundaries were assumed rather than respected by him. And Donna should make it obvious to him now that she’s prioritizing herself
