@NeilManthorp I agree with both of you. Mazher's response is sad and one-dimensional. It is also pinpoints the priorities of life today and you can't blame cricketers for following the money. Sure, T20 cricket requires skill, but it's a superficial product that can't compete with Test cricket.

@LynchCoach Sorry Sir Clive. Just England. And they won't last long.

@tester_mick @1116sen @WhateleySEN True, but so what? Remember, Australia won the first two tests. They got lucky in Manchester but rain has influenced many games in the past, many in favour of England. Get over yourself.
English

@1116sen @WhateleySEN For crying out loud. Rain has just put an end to what could have potentially been one of the greatest comebacks in cricket history. England fans are well within their rights to say that the Aussies have been very fortunate.

"Cry me a river, England!"
Gerard Whateley isn't copping the whinging from the English after the Aussies retained the Ashes.

It’s out, not sure why there is even a debate! Laws are there for a reason!

Best video I have seen of the routine Bairstow has after leaving a delivery. Hmmmm I know what I would have done as captain. Thoughts? #AUSvsENG

@DONCRICKET @Twitter @VincentBarnes60 @geoffreytoyana @MikeHaysman @RickyPonting Marais Erasmus was dead right. Starc was dozy (Mike Atherton's word to describe Bairstow's runout) in first catching the ball legitimately and then allowing it to rub along the turf afterwards. He could easily, and should have, fallen with both hands under the ball.

WONDERFULLY THE GREAT GAME 🏏 and @twitter has allowed for many ‘opinions’ on the #Starc #Ducket catch…including mine…😅
AMAZING how the majority of ex players and professional coaches / commentators like @VincentBarnes60 @geoffreytoyana @MikeHaysman @RickyPonting etc. all believe it to be OUT and a FAIR CATCH - as that’s what we’ve all seen many times before in play, and it is always given or taken as out. Marais Erasmus is also an ex player - so am surprised but still always respect his opinion… This whole situation however just highlights the CONFUSION and SUBJECTIVITY of “what is in control” and “what is not in control”… The @ICC need to clear this up…
The INCONSISTENCIES are the key, as look at the #SteveSmith catch which was given out & then the #MitchellStarc catch not…🤷 The only thing in my humble opinion that #Starc did wrong here was that he was a bit ‘sloppy’ on the way he slid and turned his hand to face along the grass - which has created this whole confusion - as I still personally think that the catch was taken and he was in control…🧐😅🙏🏻

NEW DAY - with the first 2 hours of play being BIG for both Team @englandcricket & @CricketAus 🏏🏏

@robert1lefty I remember that bunker shot and putt on the 18th at Augusta as if it was yesterday. Happy retirement Sandy.
English

Great golfer but an even better guy. Got to spend some valuable time with Sandy when I was in the states.
Enjoy retirement 🏴🏴🍻

@cameronponsonby Nothing to do with this... Thanks so much for your excellent piece on the pain of being a batsman. Made a lot of unsentimental sense to me. I am Patrick, Nick Compton's uncle and Ben Compton's dad. Keep on trucking with your "pen".

@JesseChellan Happy travels Asif. Thanks for all the help you gave me and other members of the dwindling cricket press in Durban.

Best wishes Asif. Sure to add tremendous value. 👏👏
