This year, the Sage Best Paper Prize committee )Marcia Grimes (Chair), Dominika Koter, and Feyaad Allie). The section is pleased to award the Best Paper Prize to Anna Callis (Tulane U) for her paper, “When Economic Elites Support Democratization: Evidence from Argentina.”
The committee, Andy Harris (Chair), Pete Hatemi, and Rose McDermott, received a strong set of nominations, but Peter’s dedication to nurturing, challenging, and encouraging a community of international, interdisciplinary scholars made him an ideal recipient of this award.
The committee, Scott Straus (Chair), Dawn Teele, and Rebecca Weitz-Shapiro, received a strong set of nominations and were particularly impressed with the quality and interdisciplinary resonance of Marko’s work.

The Comparative Politics section is pleased to announce Marc Debus, Zeynep Somer-Topcu, and Margit Tavits are this year’s recipients of the Lijphart Przeworski Verba Best Dataset Prize for their dataset, “Comparative Campaign Dynamics Dataset.”
