@ichikawa_zoo First, thank you for all you do. I think the concern many feel is that Punch is being actively harassed and hurt by some of the other monkeys. Integration is important but this is not a natural environment so it is a fiction to say let nature be entirely on its own. They wouldn’t be in a zoo in the first place if that mantra was correct.

I do not understand why the zoo is calling it “falling down”? He was attacked and thrown into the water. It makes me question the rest of their narrative. If they were smart, they would pay special attention to these type of situations. The world is watching and if something happens to Punch, they will never recover reputationally.

@control_alt_ His friends are not violence at all. It is impossible that they will fight for him. They are just simply sweet and not aggressive. Punch will have to learn to stay away from the dominant trouble makers.

I read that in monkey society, there are classes, and Punch’s mom was “low born” so to speak, but since he wasn’t raised with her, he not only is vulnerable but also did not learn social dynamics. 05.3.2026 The day little Punch spent most of his time running and hiding from the big monkeys... 🐒💨 He even got some gentle brushing on his upper lip (check 40-45 sec mark!). After yesterday's big steps forward, today depression and fear hit hard again — he tucked himself behind the mountain, but the moment the zookeepers appeared, punch kun leaped straight onto them without a second thought for food. 🥺❤️

Oh god, why do they keep getting tougher on the weakest one… 😔 Little Punch-Kun just wanted to play... approached with that tiny hopeful bounce, but instead of a friendly tumble, he got shoved face-first into the ground. 🥺 For a second he just froze, processing it all—Already carrying yesterday’s bruises on his lip, now this. Then he quietly shuffled to the corner, sat alone, staring into nothing. No one came to check on him. No little pat or "it's okay." Breaks my heart every time I see it. Poor baby deserves so much gentleness. 🐒🤗 Protect the soft ones out there 🤍
