My uncle, who's in his 80's, has lived in NYC his entire life. He takes the subway to work every day just as he has for the last 50+ years. He doesn't have to, money isn't an issue at all for him. He takes the subway because everyone in the city takes the subway. He's had two incidents in the 6 months. - another passenger on a crowded rush hour train got in his face for no reason, told him to get TF off the train, tossed his hat out of the subway car and shoved him. He told me he was going to punch the guy in the face bur realized he's 83 years old and probably shouldn't so he exited. - he was walking down the stairs of yet another broken escalator when a teenage girl that was running past him stepped into him and shouldered him and he nearly fell down half the flight of stairs. IDK wtf is happeneing in New York but the subway is turning into a dystopian nightmare.
