Primarying Democrats in safe blue seats really is their Super Bowl.
You never see them get this revved up for beating Republicans. Every few years they come out in primaries and turn them into the biggest existential battle on Earth...and then slink away when it comes time to defeat the actual fascist party.

The thing that ultras and centrist liberals both fail to understand is that the Democratic Party isn’t an actual political party. It’s an empty signifier, a slot on the ballot. You pay no dues and there are no positions you are required to hold.
