I’ve always been fascinated by the figure of Saint Sebastian. I’ve painted him many times before… and here I begin again—this time on a much larger scale. The largest I’ve ever attempted: 36 × 48 inches. This is the first session—laying in the figure, searching for the form, and beginning the study of color.
