Here's another old self-portrait. This one is from back when I had a beard and I got my marijuana license. Now marijuana is everywhere and you don't need a license (in California). That's progress, I suppose. This ran as a full page in our local Santa Barbara Independent and it features my wife, Peg and son, Buster.

This is my new cartoon for if Proposition 50 passes on Tuesday. (That's the California flag with the bear mooning the Republicans.) I expect that Prop 50 will win, so I drew this in advance. I decided not to give it a title mentioning prop 50; maybe that was a mistake. Hey, I just posted a new Caglecast/podcast with a lot of talk about A.I. --go look. #gerrymandering #YesOnProp50

I drew a syndicated comic/panel with Tribune 30 years ago, called TRUE!, with funny facts. Interesting that so many of them still look fresh. I've been animating them and thinking of bringing back the evergreens as an animated e-book.
Here's one I just posted as a YouTube short. The brain French-kissing/tasting made me laugh. I'll post new ones each day on @caglecast" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@caglecast this week. You can also see a couple of very nice Taylor Jones animated cartoons that I recently posted there.

I'm posting these animations as YouTube Shorts. To make it portrait rather than landscape I added the title and attribution type above and below. Notice that the first frame is always my original drawing, which the animation departs from and loops back to.
The shorts are going up with my video podcasts at Caglecast.com. I haven't deceded to keep doing them, but I'm still intrigued. Sign up for our free email newsletter at Cagle.com/subscribe

This cute italian local wanted me to draw her as her dog (who she carried with her) roller skating.

I recently went to the World Humor Awards in Italy. It is split between competition/editorial cartoonlike cartoons and caricatures, and has a kind of caricature artist culture, so they spent a bunh of time having the attending cartoonists sit to do caricatures of the locals. That's unusal for me, but I enjoyed it. It was typically at a restaurant with lots of free drinks. This nice fellow, Marco Gambarelli just sent me a photo with the caricature I did of him as an elephant. See my Caglecast video podcast about the World Humor Awards: youtu.be/ZZPaXJ4IsAo

China Rare Earths policies bounced back into the news yesterday and tanked the stock market. Here's my cartoon. Remember to subscribe to our free daily email newsletter at Cagle.com/subscribe And check out our podcast about cartoonist from China, Luojie: youtu.be/Xctj089uXJk

This is a black and white oldie about White House environmental policy. You might miss it, but the AI is treating the smokestacks like cigars, burning down to the White House roof --implying that there's an impending, disturbing consequence to the White House from their nasty deeds. I thought that was interesting, so I like this one.

Here's another AI animation of one of my cartoons that made me laugh. I don't know that Grok is something I can really use. The process is pretty random --Grok Imagine AI just does what it wants and kind of ignores my prompts. (For example, every time I tell it "no music" and it still does music.) Its like a 2 year old. But sometimes I like it. Maybe its like a slot machine - if it pays off once in a while I'll keep throwing money in, and I'm a loser in the long run. Hey!
