@GotBoz44 It’s a tough time for us “old-schoolers” to understand this portal business. I like your reference to commitment and I worry about that both ways. Schools and players both committed to eachother. I am worried about who is looking out for these young players futures beyond now.

The Transfer Portal abuse is the #1 issue…intent to give a player an opp to find a better fit is now an evil empire filled w/ greed and mal-intent as well as giving our youth permission to quit when things don’t go their way…instead of grinding harder they create excuses and a victim is born..the portal is a last resort not a leveraging tool..it should be a new start..to reinvent & not capitalize on success created off the BST of your teammates/coaches that gave the opp to be show cased..remember the “commitment “…propose a player that stays each year receives a bonus to be placed into an annuity & captured when graduates…player leaves annuity forfeited..player can transfer 1x for same base or less & play following season..2nd transfer player sits out a season w no pay..pay resumes at same base as previous contractual agreement…player must attend/pass classes at all times to remain eligible.

This is really hard to write but so many of you have loved and cared about Ben that I wanted to let you know. We found out today the cancer had spread throughout Bens organs and there was nothing left we could do-we had to let him go. I’ve had dogs my whole life but Ben was 1 on 1. He was smart-loving-gentle-patient-inquisitive-and welcoming to all. Always a big smile and a soft tail wag. He and I could communicate..he and I understood each other and had each others backs. He was with me more than anyone at home and traveling with me for work. Such an easy going companion. Hard day-but he will live within all of us forever. God please bless his majestic soul and thank you for putting him in my life for the last 10 years-a true blessing. Love you Ben. 🙏🏼

From the outside looking in… this game is easy. But in reality it’s the worst game of all. We are very fortunate to get what we do from this game but over the last 24 hours it’s hit me. We do it for not only ourselves but for our family, friends and fans. What Rory has gone through is as tough as it gets in our game but I would like to encourage people if anything please be kind ☘️
