Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living lavishly in the United States. Afshar is the niece of deceased Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime who celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the "Great Satan." This week, I terminated both Afshar and her daughter's legal status and they are now in ICE custody, pending removal from the United States. The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.

Holy Saturday — April 4, 2026 A Prayer for the United States of America Heavenly Father, We come before You in humility and reverence, lifting up the United States of America into Your sovereign hands. We thank You for this nation—its freedoms, its people, and the blessings You have poured out across generations. We ask that You would guide us back to Your truth, Your righteousness, and Your ways. “It is He who changes the times and the periods; He removes kings and appoints kings; He gives wisdom to wise men and knowledge to people of understanding.” — Daniel 2:21 (NASB) Lord, we pray for our leaders at every level—federal, state, and local—that they would seek wisdom, act with integrity, and govern with a heart aligned to Your will. Remove pride, corruption, and selfish ambition, and replace it with humility, discernment, and a true desire to serve the people justly. “The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He wishes.” — Proverbs 21:1 (NASB) Father, as we stand on this day before Easter, we remember the sacrifice of Your Son and the hope that is about to be revealed. Let that hope fill this nation—reminding us that darkness does not win, and that Your promises are sure. “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies.’” — John 11:25 (NASB) Lord, strengthen the families of this nation. Restore the foundation of the home, protect our children, and guide parents to raise the next generation in truth, courage, and faith. Let Your Word be the anchor in every household. “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15 (NASB) We pray for those who serve and protect—our military, law enforcement, first responders—that You would give them courage, protection, and clarity in their duties. Surround them with Your presence and bring them safely home to their families. “The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul.” — Psalm 121:7 (NASB) Father, awaken hearts across this country. As we approach the resurrection, remind us that through Christ there is new life, new hope, and redemption for all who turn to You. Let there be a revival of truth, faith, and obedience to Your Word. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” — 1 Peter 1:3 (NASB) Lord, we place our trust not in man, not in systems, but in You alone. You are our foundation, our hope, and our refuge. Guide this nation forward according to Your perfect will. “For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last He will take His stand on the earth.” — Job 19:25 (NASB) We give this country to You, Lord, and ask that Your hand remain upon it. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

I appreciate that Jaden Ivey isn’t afraid to stand up for his biblical beliefs. On Monday, Jaden called out the NBA and the Chicago Bulls for proclaiming Pride Month to “celebrate unrighteousness.” The Bulls then waived Jaden for what they called conduct detrimental to the team. I hope other followers of Christ will choose to stand with the Word of God and not the world—no matter the cost. God has something bigger and better in store Jaden!
