i hope all artists reading this know that their work (if harmless, of course) should not be hidden because of others.

there is never a time of utter peace in fandom spaces for artists to post their work and not risk being associated with the most recent discourse. not when the most recent is always the same one. not when you fight the ghosts of past discussions every seven days.

it bothers me that some artists are not drawing what they want to because people started assuming art of whatever they do not like is actually the artist’s calculated, indirect response to some dumb fandom discourse they might not have even commented on.
