49: Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical An absurdist satire on 30s propaganda that just keeps escalating into the macabre. The music was super catchy, the jokes were incredibly funny, and Alan Cumming in particular was an utter delight. I really enjoyed this one.

48: Dragon Hoops Interesting biographical graphic novel about Yang's interest in his school's basketball team, from the perspective of a non-sporty artist. I love Yang's writing from what I've seen and this was very interesting to read, great time!

@gotMLK7 Thanks for making it!!! It's super cute and fun. Come to think of it, it's a perfect example of something another anon pointed out, that a moe/cutesy artstyle is perfectly capable of depicting a large diversity of people and body types.

I sort of get what you mean, I have found that some english-language comics seem to be more intent on being "good representation" than telling a good story. that said, there are plenty that are really good; here's a rec thread I did previously: x.com/cogito_yuri/st…
