Big 'AAA' companies are struggling with huge pushback from gamers giving up on them. A big part is games being pulled, disappearing without any way to recover. The #web3 gaming space has the same problem with almost all games being 'games as a service'. You own nothing.
4) Permanence has been a hot topic for years in the gaming industry. The push back against 'Software as a service' is huge and the demand for physical games has reemerged. This due to many games and services disappearing making games unplayable and lost forever.
8) Conclusion. The tools exist, the concept is proven. The #NFTGaming space can grow exponentially when focused on the right things but still had a long way to go. Utility outlives hype, and hype is short and scarce in this fast moving space. Build good games, care about gamers.
Arweave is not quite running at the highest sustained throughput for a public blockchain, but it is getting very close. Even without vote transactions Solana does an impressive ~500 TPS on an average day 🫡. A few times recently Arweave peaked above 1,000 TPS for a few hours. Just a couple more 2xs to go until that is normal. The best part -- and the part that many still haven't grasped -- is that Arweave just won't stop scaling. Because it bundles storage payments and service provision, there simply are no applicable limits. Crypto is the 'industry that cried w̶o̶l̶f̶ scalability' with better marketing than tech, so it makes sense that people ignore it at first. We will see what kind of real-world TPS Arweave has to sustain before the crowd realizes 😄
