Through Zorya Foundation’s partnership with UnitedHealthcare Health Plan of Nevada Medicaid, 45 mothers received $1,000 childcare grants—a simple lever that reduces stress, stabilizes staffing, and protects access to care across primary care clinics.

Safety net clinics run on moms. And #childcare helps keep them running. In a cohort of Nevada grantees working in FQHCs: 51% are single-parent households 82% report at least one financial SDOH (debt, housing, transport, childcare) 31% note mental-health concerns

Our Nevada childcare grantees had a median income of $39,600 and were overwhelmingly frontline staff. Many are also pursuing further education while working full-time while supporting their families. Workforce stability starts with childcare.

Moms power our country's safety-net clinics—while carrying huge financial burdens. We gave 45 moms in Nevada FQHCs $1,000 childcare grants: • 51% single-parent • 82% ≥1 financial SDOH • 31% mental-health concerns Childcare = better workforce retention, steadier care.

These first 5 grants are provided by individual donations & community support. Selected grantees will receive $1,000 per month over 12 months for childcare support. These full-year grants do not replace our one-time $1,000 cash grants, they are in addition to our regular programs

📢 New program announcement!! Zorya Foundation is delighted to announce that, for the first time, we’ll be providing *full-year* childcare/caregiver grants, starting with five, $12,000 grants for moms working in healthcare roles.
