This integration uses Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV) to ensure sensitive data remains encrypted even when viewed by entities with direct physical access to the server hardware. Engineering Lead Björn Tackmann confirms that this upgrade resolves a fundamental vulnerability in traditional cloud computing, in which data is processed in plaintext within the memory layer.

The initial launch is limited to select Premium+ users while X gathers feedback and refines the platform ahead of a broader release.
