@honey_xbt Cycles are a great guide, but crypto loves to throw curveballs. Maybe this time’s slightly different, but riding the trend with ETH and alts still makes sense. Just keep an eye out for those plot twists.

i'm a firm believer in crypto cycles and that they often tend to repeat ~ this is the reason im bullish ETH and altcoins for the next 2 months february - march has been historically bullish for the whole market but altcoins have outperformed everything in the past years sure this time could be different but we wouldn't know until it happens so yeah putting money where my mouth is and going heavy ETH and altcoins for the next 2 months
Honey@honey_xbt

gm seeing so many people flip flop their bias daily is funny af because they literally have no conviction in their game i know ETH and alts haven’t been performing great lately but it’s just seasonality imo every january we see similar price action on alts, then we start trending up and have a full blown alt szn in february - march i believe the same happens this time as well and we should see higher prices in the next couple of months good luck, have fun and something something

@0xaporia It’s ironic to see the same community that celebrates Ross Ulbricht’s fight against state overreach cheer on a system that could enable similar abuses. Trusting any government to self-regulate, especially one with a direct financial incentive to grow its power, is risky.

I'm always amazed by how Bitcoiners glorify El Salvador It’s bewildering that those who normally champion decentralized freedom are so quick to overlook how state power might be abused. Ask yourself two simple questions: • Who gets to decide what's criminal? • What incentives are created for this entity? Governments act as self-interested agents, not neutral arbiters. If prisoners generate economic value, the state has a financial incentive to expand imprisonment. By endorsing a system where the state profits from incarceration, you implicitly accept a central planner’s incentive to grow its coercive power. More prisoners → Cheaper labor → More projects funded → Political justification to incarcerate further Prisons morph into state-run factories. Politicians can sell this as social responsibility while quietly lobbying for harsher laws to ensure a steady labor supply. All of this ultimately hinges on how much you trust the government not to abuse its power. If you believe that any government—especially one that directly benefits from a larger prison population—can be trusted to self-regulate and avoid exploiting this system, then perhaps there is little cause for concern. But if history tells us anything, it’s that incentives to expand coercive capabilities often lead to overreach. My critique isn’t directed as an outright condemnation of El Salvador, but rather a cautionary reflection on the incentives being created. All of this happens mere days after Bitcoiners rightfully cheer Ross Ulbricht’s release. You cannot oppose state coercion in one breath and subsidize it in the next.

40% of our prison population is already repaying its debt to society. In return, they receive a shorter sentence and learn a skill. This program is NOT available for rapists and murderers. They will help us build roads, hospitals, and schools; they will manufacture our uniforms and furniture; they will grow and harvest our crops; and they will help clean our rivers.
