I can’t understand the absence of critical thinking skills it takes to believe @elonmusk “runs” or “built” EV/space companies after witnessing the most pathetic decision making we will see in our lifetime. He pays smart people. They succeeded in spite of him. Go to hell, Elmo.

@Kobe_TRAINWRECK Boot lickers that clearly haven’t graduated high school. 🙄 You don’t know a damn thing about software engineering, yet you think you can claim who really is one. Just like Elmo.

@EricFrohnhoefer Sorry all the idiots in your comments think “free speech” only applies to them. Thank you for everything you did.

Elmo bros right now: You don’t even need 2 factor auth. It’s way more efficient without it. He’s making it better.

@EmilyKager Why is it that not only do people want Musk to fail but expect him to fail. He has literally never failed in any other business. Twitter is an awesome place. We should be rooting for him to succeed. All other social networks, you are the product. For once lets not be the product

observing el*n's twitter takeover and public airing of how he thinks it's going is a magic pill for curing imposter syndrome

@SwizzleSister @GrogsGamut Good point, and we know there’s a reason an egotistical man-child insists on doing it this way. He’ll blame the “radicals” all the way to the bottom.

@GrogsGamut You know, when billionaires buy companies that are outside their experience level, they usually either keep the current executive team or bring in someone who knows the industry. There's a reason they don't do what this guy is doing.

Literally everyone knows why that was done. FFS
Elon Musk@elonmusk

@sampullara And we will finally stop adding what device a tweet was written on (waste of screen space & compute) below every tweet. Literally no one even knows why we did that …

@jbogard Or Tesla stock. And apparently that’s a huge PITA if you want to stick with ETFs.

@jeremydmiller Seems perfectly fine considering .NET 5 went EOL like 6 months ago. I’ve done enough of those Startup migrations to know they’re not terribly painful. With a major version release, I wouldn’t blame any maintainer for doing that.

Just curious, but are many folks still using the old AspNetCore Startup scheme for bootstrapping applications? I'm somewhat tempted to rip support for that out of Alba just to simplify the code but dunno. Definitely tempted to eliminate .NET 5 support and just do 6/7 for now

@firstdrafthell I feel your pain. I’m responsible for 3 Mac-minis (CI/CD) that sit in the office because ops doesn’t want to deal with them. But every time they reboot I have to call someone to log in and get them online 😭

@elonmusk @EricFrohnhoefer Literally every software engineer rn: @elonmusk has no idea what he’s talking about He’s worse than the shitty PM that tries to spit out every tech buzzword when making excuses after being asked for a new feature 😂

@BlockFi you and your CC issuing back can fuck off. There is NO reason to suspend credit cards right now. They have nothing to do with crypto.

@elonmusk So you can’t read, and you lie just to try to pretend you have any idea what’s going on. Wow I’m shocked Twitter is a complete shitshow now. Can you just give freedom of speech to Fox News and destroy something that actually deserves it for once?

@BernieSanders Full answer to insulin price question is complex. Short answer is that original insulin, discovered in 1921 (not 1923), is inexpensive, costing as little as $25. New, higher efficacy analog variants of insulin are more expensive. @CommunityNotes time.com/6076709/walmar…

Let's be clear. Eli Lilly should apologize for increasing the price of insulin by over 1,200% since 1996 to $275 while it costs less than $10 to manufacture. The inventors of insulin sold their patents in 1923 for $1 to save lives, not to make Eli Lilly's CEO obscenely rich.

Big agree. The best place for those tidy commits is in the PR, along with all discussions/comments and other history that is only on GitHub/Bitbucket/GitLab. Once it hits main, it should be one squashed commit with a reference back to the PR that spawned it.
Jacob Tomlinson@_JacobTomlinson

@Ciaran_Evans I often find this a polarising topic, especially outside of GitHub repos. Some people really groom their PR commits and care about them being preserved. They tidy up that kind of commit on the PR and leave a nice-looking history. I'm arguing this is a waste of time.

NEW: Twitter has suspended the launch of Twitter Blue and is actively trying to stop people from subscribing "to help address impersonation issues," per an internal note. 1/
