I'll keep correcting you every time you try to mislead about Taroom. Exploration is at a very early stage. No reliable estimates exist for recoverable oil volumes, and the state's own resources department notes that "volume and extent are not yet fully understood." It's largely gas-rich with associated liquids, not proven commercial oil. The target reservoirs sit 3–4 km deep in tight, impervious rock. Extraction would require complex horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracking at scale, costly, unproven here at commercial levels, and likely water-intensive. The remote area lacks roads, pipelines, storage, and refining capacity suited to liquids. Even with approvals, full commercial production could take 10+ years (or more), offering no quick fix for fuel shortages. Billions in new build costs would be needed.

Prof Brendan Lyon gives an example of how #Big4 exploit the CAANZ system: $8mill consulting causing $100mill loss is capped at $20mill. Taxpayers lose $80mill, while partners pay $1mill. Firm earned $7mill for work that caused $80mill in losses 🚩💥 Just shocking.

@SkyNewsAust Watching Pauline Hanson angrily defend her hiring of Sean Black is like a chef being angry because the health inspector found rats in the kitchen.

🧙🏽 🍾 ❤️ 💃🏼 🧙🏼‍♀️ #VILEKYLE WITHDRAWALS 2084-2090 🧙🏽 🤩 🥂 🌟 🧙🏽 Big news out today, witches … maybe. Which is the proposed winding down of our #VileKyle campaign after we’ve posted these final Australian Idol withdrawals may now need to be … put on hold. What? Thing is, it seems both Kyle and ARN Media may not have learned their lesson about what happens when witches get angry, as it’s reported they’re now in serious talks with Kyle in a bid for him to soon return to radio airwaves: “Kyle Sandilands is edging closer to settling with ARN and getting back on-air just over a month after he was terminated from the network. A source told news.com.au the shock jock’s $100 million fallout with the network could be resolved in a matter of weeks with Kyle close to settling with his former employer. ‘It will all be wrapped up soon’ the source claimed. ‘It will end up just sorting itself out, and it will take two to three weeks max.’ Despite the fact that a legal battle has well and truly begun, with both parties set to return to court Friday, the source explained that Kyle is actually keen to resolve the matter out of court. The source said negotiations are now ‘moving pretty quickly’ and that the possibility Kyle returning to KIIS to host the breakfast show - without his on-air partner of 25 years Jackie Henderson - could even be on the table. ‘He would go back, yeah’ the source said. ‘ARN has bitten off more than they can chew, and there are no hard feelings; it is just business, and there is a lot we can all learn from this’.” news.com.au/entertainment/… With apologies for sharing a #NewsCorpse link (they’re the only org reporting this so far) and yeah, we know this is just quoting “a source” so is underwhelming in terms of facts and could all be mega-fake news. Yet if it isn’t fake, MFW is here to say all those involved in getting Kyle back on air (including the advertisers) will need to very, very sure of what they’re planning. What’s more, if you do think there’s no way this could be true, be aware there’s a sentence below which does fit in with info we received shortly before Kyle and Jackie were booted in March: Kyle was aware his behaviour was harming ad revenue, and had agreed in principle to tone down his disgusting hate in order to stay on air: “The source explained that Kyle’s big lesson in the mess is that he needs to be more ‘connected with commercial elements of the business’ going forward.” Hmmm. Well, we all know Kyle is the bullshitter of all bullshitters so could be saying anything to convince ARN to let him back. We also know reinstating him is potentially a neat solution to a legal stoush which will impoverish both Kyle and ARN unless they sort their differences. And we know this news report could be a leak to test the waters to see what MFW will do. So whatever promises ARN have received from Kyle in order to let him back on air, they should clearly hear this: if Kyle’s back without making serious and public amends for his past 25 years of hate, abuse, bullying and verbal violence towards women and others, our #VileKyle campaign will start again with a vengeance. We have no choice. He has “apologised” and re-offended so many times our trust levels are at ZERO. For that reason, Kyle is unfit to be on air. He’s done nothing at all to apologise for or take accountability for his past behaviour and further, he’s insulted, mocked, lied about and threatened our own Admins and witches so much (again: without taking any responsibility for it) there’s no possibility he can now be a changed man or a decent broadcaster. So how can we just let all this slide? But here’s what we really need to know: will you help? Will you go back to contacting advertisers? Will you fund MFW to help finish what we all started? Are we going to walk away and admit defeat on this campaign? Or are we going to fight? Over to you. 1/2

Dr Richard Denniss dismantles the gas industry’s favorite threat. If taxes kill investment, why is the gas industry rushing to Norway to pay 78%? 🙄 “They are playing us for fools.” 🔥 Nationals’ Susan McDonald has no rebuttal & scrambles to change the subject. #auspol

Credit to 🇯🇵 for putting the Japanese people first and having an import tax that brings in billions. It's time for 🇦🇺 politicians to put Aussies ahead of the interests of multinational gas exporters and having a 25% gas export tax. Japan has used this money to build a 90 day fuel reserve while successive Australian governments have said fuel security is too expensive and have settled for 30 days.

How the fuck do we live on a planet where Martha Stewart spent 5 months in jail for a dodgy $45,000 stock market deal but Trump and his sons make billions and billions using blatant manipulation via their genocidal war and not one US Democrat or large media org is saying jack shit? #NewsCorpse

My Father was born Hendrick Willem Pennings in The Netherlands while it was occupied by Nazis. He survived the ‘Dutch Hunger Winter’ as a baby and lived a rich and dramatic 83 years until his passing a week ago. Dad’s experiences as a child migrant/refugee in a camp were challenging, as was being the eldest of 9 kids in a dirt poor migrant family. He left school aged 12 to work out west in NSW, doing all sorts to help the wider family while revelling as cricket and rugby player of note. The stories my uncles tell of Dad looking wild and bowling super fast with a cigarette hanging from his lips are very easy to picture. He made state level Rugby but never made it to Sheffield Shield in Cricket. Dad embraced the faith of his birth in his mid 20s and felt the call to Christian ministry. He met my Mum when she attended a course where he was studying at the Reformed Church Theological College in Geelong. They married soon after and I arrived a couple years later as the eldest of 3 kids in 3 years. Dad’s vocation/calling took our whole family to church communities in the working class suburbs of Adelaide and Sydney, followed by rural Tasmania. Mum and Dad then served church communities in Brisbane, regional Queensland and regional NSW before retirement. Their retirement has been filled with volunteering, local travel and serving the needs of others. What we now know as Autism on top of childhood trauma presented big challenges to Dad as a parent and the leader of church communities. He had what were called ‘nervous breakdowns’ when I was a teenager but still managed to support countless people, including a stint as a chaplain at Royal North Shore Hospital for his long service leave. I won’t hide that Dad was socially challenged, often emotionally incapable and lived with patriarchal entitlement to his dying days. But he was a great parent for play, silly games, being home/present and spending time on physical activities like sport. I always knew he loved me in his own way, even when I experienced profound rejection from him for not embracing the Christian faith in my late teens. Religion and politics are the sensitive topics in many families. Dad loved my work within a ‘charity model’ but never what I did within a ‘justice model’. But parental protectiveness certainly kicked in when a bullying centi-billionaire named Adani came after me for a few years. Ironically, much of my rebellious anarchistic personality came from Dad. Autism too! I’ve lived a similar ‘sense of calling’ to Mum and Dad, also spending my whole adult life focussed on caring, community and service. Despite different political perspectives I’ll always cherish key values gained from them both. Nonviolence has been a key theme of my life. I’ll be forever grateful Dad chose not to use violence on children, unlike teachers and most other Dads of the time. He was also brave enough to intervene and stop violent situations. I’ve appreciated the generational gift of raising my children with peaceful parenting. Anti-materialism was also a big part of my childhood, learning the value of people over things, that life satisfaction comes through serving and connections rather than dominating others, consuming and hoarding resources. It’s held me in good stead. These last years have been quite hard for our family, with Dad’s mental health deteriorating alongside his mental capacity and physical health. The care he received was excellent and very patient but it probably kept him alive longer than he or any of us really wanted. In the current political climate I cannot emphasise enough how much worse the last years would have been for our family without the magnificent migrants working as doctors, nurses, drivers and carers. The waves of physical grief this last week have somewhat surprised me but not others. Thinking about my own kids sets me off the most. They’ll be more to come with a gravesite funeral followed by a church service on Thursday. Please contact me if you knew Dad and want the funeral details or livestream. Rest in Peace Dad, you deserve it.

@Heal_within96 Pauline Hanson is an uneducated, racist criminal. No one who went to jail should be able to be a politician and receive a taxpayer funded pension for life. Has not made a single policy contribution in her 30 years in politics.

@Raymartin55 So many areas one nation doesn’t have a Policy at all. I’ve written longer post on social media sites like Facebook than their health policy. It’s a “thought bubble”, with no costings, no plan, no details, no timeline. 1 idea and that’s all. See image onenation.org.au/health
