@FredFredSanders Have you come across the argument that because God is eternal and timeless then the Son has been eternally incarnated? If so what reply would you give to those who think the incarnation is eternal? PS I’ve enjoyed many of your books on the Trinity.

@llevol_leumas You can say it, but you will suck half the power out of the other things you ought to say. Then you'll have to apply paradox distractingly where scripture doesn't ("the seated one sat," wow). It's like saying the Son sent himself or was always sent or was greater than himself.

"After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the majesty on high." Heb 1:3. Because the Bible speaks this way of Christ completing his work, we should mostly avoid using "seated at right hand" language to characterize his eternal pre-existent glory.

Starting to think some of the Covid19 curves/stats should be weighted by population. Saying we have more cases than Italy is scary & significant. But it leaves out scale. Also the numbers are shooting up in part b/c they’re visible thanks to testing. That gets left out a lot too.

Thucydides wrote his History "so that later generations might learn". Regarding the Plague he reported 1) high death of doctors and carers 2) dangers of proximity and 3) increasing lawlessness. So we should learn: 1) protect front line staff 2) social distance 3) support police.

Reminder, we have very high unemployment numbers because we have to do radical social distancing. We have to do social distancing because we do not have enough tests to know where the virus is. We do not have enough tests because the Trump Admin bungled the tests.

According to CNN Health’s tally of US cases that are detected and tested in the United States through US public health systems, there are at least 65,273 cases of the novel coronavirus in the United States. 938 people have died.

I’m just relieved that no one is politicizing this crisis.
