Very good read on Arijit and the state of Hindi film music. On the highlighted part, though, I have a counterpoint: S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, as a singer (and Ilayaraja, as a composer). Can easily fill many many days, many more moods, life stages, etc.

5/5 with. The days of non-film music albums that sell either as singles or as an album only for music are firmly behind us, I believe. Or, at least very, very rare.
