@StanUsmnt The wildest thing about people hating on offsides is that nobody says it sucks in hockey. It's pretty similar - just in soccer, the blue line continuously moves.

Oh dear god here come the “ties are dumb” takes flying over the top rope from the once every 4 yrs crowd.
I’m trying to be inclusive and help everyone get into the game but the topics that make this the hardest:
1. Ties are dumb
2. Offsides is a bad rule
3. Soccer has no action

@TobesMagee @chriscfore Your hockey stat is wrong. Bc of line changes an NHL player averages 14-25 min a game. Only guy goalie plays every minute.
In soccer, most of the players play the full 90 and run 6-10 miles in a match.

@chriscfore I love how American football fans complain about soccer when their sport plays only 10 to 15 minutes in 3 hours just because it is easy to score.

@KGrahamContent I assume you saw there were 4 ties and said those must have sucked. TBH, yeah, I wish there were wins, but I watched all 4 and they were either very back and forth excitement or amazing defensive efforts with phenomenal goalkeeping.

Another reason soccer is not popular here. Ties. They suck. In our country there is a winner and a loser. Why even have a game/match if no one wins?! And yes there are occasional ties in our NFL in the regular season and those suck as well.

It's actually sort of a universal rule that the falls of nations dont touch the ground.
