FAA Statement Air Canada Express Flight 8646 struck an Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting vehicle after landing on Runway 4 at LaGuardia Airport in New York. The accident occurred around 11:40 p.m. local time on Sunday, March 22. The CRJ-900 was arriving from Montreal. The FAA and NTSB will investigate. A Lufthansa (LH) flight from Denver International Airport to Munich Airport (MUC) aborted take-off at high speed. The crew aborted take-off of Lufthansa flight LH481, at high speed (~173 knots) at Denver International Airport (DEN), Colorado, operated by an Airbus A350-900 plane (D-AIVD), bound for Munich, Germany. Plane stopped safely with blown thermal plugs; while passengers deplaned via stairs to buses after emergency crews checked overheated brakes/tires. Some sources suggested that the incident was due to a predictive windshear alert from strong tailwinds, however no official statement has been released so far. #aircraft #aviation
