And so it came to be that the much-feared and respected Chapel Kop did twice more suck the white orb into the onion bag yesterday, adding to the single goal on Wednesday. We clearly put the Oxford striker off as well yesterday when he was clean through. Scenes. #saintsfc

@AntonDuSpec It is a truly awful dirge. But I have hope. We have a lot of fans in their late teens and early 20’s going to away games who can hopefully be the bedrock of a really good fanbase in the years to come.

@AntonDuSpec This is alas why there are sadly so many empty seats in Block 20. A lot of applicants have been rejected and have had to sheepishly return to the Northam to sing their Scouser ditties.

Two things I love about the Chapel Kop. 1. Surrounded by like-minded souls, who are not on their phones all game checking bets or Insta. 2. It’s just a bloody great laugh. I didn’t laugh at all with the last 18 months in the Northam. I see the Chapel Kop arising!! #saintsfc

@sfcwxl It’s basically why I and a few others moved to the Chapel a couple of months ago. Block 20 is where it’s at for a laugh and a singsong.

Good win and my god Peretz is class, but that was the worst atmosphere of the season. Only a small group of us in Block 43 trying to sing. If your going to stand there in silence, go and sit in the Kingsland or Chapel #SaintsFC

Lectures everyone about atmosphere and how the amazing chapel is evolving noddy free but can’t even get pass half time with out the need to run to the pub. Sooner these old timers with a drink problem realise they ain’t the heart of the club anymore the better #saintsfc

@hasfabulous Northam has been a disaster. Chapel is the future. It id just taking a bit of time to evolve.

Apart from Portsmouth & Coventry game the away end has been half empty most weeks.Unlike the old setup the Northam home end could be extended when teams took small allocations. The banter between Itchen North & away fans is missed, personally think Northam Wall failed. #SaintsFC

Really interesting run-in ahead. Sometimes you have to believe what your eyes tell you in football and Middlesbrough, Millwall, Hull and Derby all really impressive against Saints imo. All four now in the top six. It’s congested but who’s finishing where they want to? #SaintsFC

Pompey face possible repercussions after game v WBA temporarily stopped portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football… @pn_mark_mcmahon . My 10 year old grandson was hit on his head by a 50p coin as we walked up the steps onto the concourse at half time. I have to say the stewards I reported it to were very efficient and very kind towards him as was the clubs Safeguarding Officer who came to us. It really hurt him and he was frightened. Fortunately his head wasn’t cut open but we later had to go to the fist aiders as he had a lump appear. They gave him an ice pack to keep the swelling down. They too were lovely with him. We are home now after a 4 hour drive. George loves his club, he’s a season ticket holder along with myself and his dad and now he’s a little bit older we’ve been bringing him to away matches with us. To see your grandson in tears and scared at a bloody football match was and still is horrendous. I’m beyond angry. I sincerely hope @Pompey do all that can to find who did this. There’s no place in football for this and certainly no place at football for them. @HantsPolice @WBA @Pompey
