My father introduced legislation to eliminate the Dept of Education in the early 1980’s. Rep. Massie continued the same bill —one sentence - and I’ve introduced the Senate version. Thanks to President Trump for working to return education to the states.

In our meeting with @POTUS yesterday, we discussed my plan to get spending back to pre-pandemic levels – saving a minimum of $700 billion. There is so much room for reducing the size of the federal government and balancing the budget is entirely doable. I look forward to working with the @WhiteHouse and getting spending under control.
