In every state in the union, non-citizens can get a drivers license. In 19 states and the District of Columbia, illegal immigrants can get a drivers license as well. We need REAL election security.

Chuck Schumer and other Democrats have insisted that they actually support Voter ID—they just object to other parts of the SAVE America Act. Well, @SenJonHusted just asked unanimous consent to pass ONLY the Voter ID portion of the bill. Democrats blocked it.

The only place in America where proof of citizenship and voter ID are unpopular is the Senate Democratic Caucus.

Getting a job. Driving a car. Catching a flight. Opening a bank account. Attending the Democratic National Convention. Americans need ID for all of these things. Why not for voting in federal elections?

Over 170 countries worldwide already enforce some form of voter ID, making the U.S. an outlier among democracies. The red herrings spewed by Democrats about voter suppression fall apart when you actually read the bill (shocker!). Mike Lee dismantled their entire narrative, noting that they mischaracterize the bill's text (pages 12-13 on easing requirements). Only one legitimate reason exists to oppose voter ID, and Democrats have yet to realize their lies aren't fooling anyone.

Showing photo ID is a basic expectation for the most routine parts of life. Surely it should be used to help safeguard one of Americans' most important rights: to vote in free, fair elections.

The overwhelming majority of Americans support the SAVE America Act, but Democrats are continuing to vote against common sense and are working to put illegals before American citizens.

I agree with Senator Chuck Schumer… from 30 years ago! Unfortunate that he no longer agrees with himself. Voter ID is just common sense. Pass the SAVE America Act.
