As a naturally hyperactive person who always feels the need to be doing something, I decided to make today’s off day intentional in a different way. No laundry, no unnecessary chores, no running around ticking boxes.
I didn’t do even half of what I’d usually consider a “productive” day, but I’m starting to understand that not every day is meant for movement.
Some days are for stillness. For pausing long enough to hear yourself think. For resting without guilt and existing without pressure to perform. Today reminded me that I don’t always have to earn my rest sometimes, just being is the work.
