@sportingchemist It’s not about individuals. I couldnt care less who does it or what team they play for .It’s embarrassing for the game . All coaches saying they don’t coach it should say they coach their players NOT to do it but the rules need changing so they have to go off, with replacement

Given Harry Robertson and the Saints medical team had a 15 minute half time break to assess how his knee was, why was he in the changing rooms for the whole of half time and not having a “fitness test” onfield to assess the situation instead of sat down for 15 minutes?

@philkinsella They play very different rules, games are officiated completely differently and what is foul play is different to us. It’s very much two different sports.

Having watched almost all of the 192 NRL games in 2024 I’d say it’s very comparable , the rules are not entirely different and in my opinion their approach to issuing cards is more sensible

I want to avoid red cards we’ve had way 21 reds so far that’s way too many . The NRL has had 3 -I’d say their approach is preferable with on report & sin bin used more widely.
A 3 game ban could be right for a red card but only grade E or above

@philkinsella But phil, if someone gets a 3 match ban they should have been sent off. I don’t want to avoid red cards, I want the refs to make he correct decisions.

@johnnyddavidson You could have twenty-five yellows a game if that is a yellow. That’s what’s frustrating, refs apply a law once, at random, during a game and never again.

@johnnyddavidson Aside from Josh Rourke is there any players actually born in Lancashire? It’s a failed concept from the past, the game is stuck in the past and repeats the same mistakes again and again. I await club call in 2026, middle 8’s in 2027 and the margin meter in 2028.

This is genuinely one of the worst and poorly thought out articles of all time and for Bower, that is saying something. A complete misunderstanding of the point of grading and just utter nonsense. Amazing he’s paid to talk about this sport.

Unpopular opinion: I hate Golden Point for regular league fixtures. If teams are level after 80 minutes, that’s dramatic enough and should be a league point apiece. Leave Golden Point for knockout games.
