Most people scrolled past that headline. They shouldn’t have.
Here’s what actually changed:
The SEC’s job is to protect investors which means treating every token like a potential fraud. The CFTC’s job is to build markets. That’s a completely different starting point.
Institutional money hasn’t been sitting out because of price. It’s been sitting out because of legal risk. That just got significantly smaller.
And when the US moves on something like this, the rest of the world follows.
Less restriction. More clarity. Better conditions for builders and capital alike.
The market will price this in eventually. It usually does slowly, then all at once.
