@threeepointzero ERA Review This pad is a new contender in the peripheral space and is ThreePointZero’s first product that hit the market. A company started by ex CS2 pro’s and their first pad is in my opinion an immediate hit. It’s a fast, low-static-friction circular-knit cloth that feels like someone took the smoothness and stopping power of a LGG Saturn Pro, added a slight amount of texture with the right amount of speed to make both tracking and flicking feel great. Initial glide is effortless (lower static friction than Artisan Zero Soft), but the amount of dynamic friction gives you immediate, predictable stopping power. I mainly play Battlefield 6 and I felt instantly locked in. I was able to perform well on the pad almost immediately and even broke my own kill records after switching to the pad. The rubber base is very grippy and worked well on two desks, one was a solid wood one, the other on particle wood. The pad is 4 mm thick with stitched edges that are flush; I’ve been using the pad for a month and the surface still feels and looks as new. The pad arrives rolled up, it took about 24-48 hours for the pad to lay completely flat. The 4mm thickness is in my opinion perfect for most people, has enough give to add extra control when pressing the mouse into the pad but not too much to where your aim gets messed up in tense situations when applying more pressure. Humidity resistance is good, I live in a humid climate and it rarely gets slower or sticky. VS Artisan FX Zero Soft ERA is noticeably faster and has lower initial friction. Zero is still the more balanced, “safe” all-rounder that works with literally any mouse/sens. If you want a slightly faster and smoother pad compared to the zero, the ERA is a great option. vs Artisan Hien Soft Close in speed, but Hien has that signature X/Y difference and a much rougher surface giving you more feedback from the pad on your mouse. Summary ERA is a great option at a very competitive price for people who are looking for an all-rounder pad. It has enough speed to perform well in tracking heavy games while at the same time also having the right amount of control for slower paced games. The quality of the pad is in my opinion on par with pads double the price. However, if you are looking for a specific pad, either very controlled or very fast, this pad likely won’t be for you.
