Your fuel. Mariner, vessel, and port safety. Our mission.
The gas that powers Guam's cars, generators, and businesses arrives by sea — aboard vessels like the 183-meter tank vessel Ardmore Seaventure, which called on the Port of Guam to offload fuel last week.
While fuel was actively transferring from ship to shore, U.S. Coast Guard Forces Micronesia / Sector Guam marine inspectors were aboard conducting a biennial Certificate of Compliance inspection and modified Port State Control B exam — verifying compliance with international and U.S. regulations and ensuring the vessel's safety systems were fully operational should an incident occur during offload. A dynamic undertaking with real stakes.
Our inspectors work to minimize disruption to the vessel's schedule — keeping commerce flowing while ensuring nothing is cut short on safety.
That's the balance we strike every day: protecting people and the environment while keeping the maritime transportation system moving.
People. Presence. Partnerships.
