the thing is it could be a good way to explore how a Lot of abusive parents actually do love their kid and how that still doesn't make it okay since that idea isn't as represented as the "one-note abuser who hates their kids" but it's almost always just "see they're not so bad!!"

It's realistic so I appreciate it but as others have said, it would be nice to still recognize that the abuse isn't justified by the love Art can do whatever it wants but my father I do believe loves me He's just a horrible human being who can't stop hurting me for his gain

アニメでは描写されていませんが、『響け！ユーフォニアム』の主な舞台は軍事基地と工場、古い国道が隣接している京都郊外の住宅地です。このような近畿地方の下町ではカジュアルなコミュニケーションのきっかけ作りのために飴玉を人に渡すという風習があります。滝先生はそういった土地の高校で教える教師には似つかわしくない不自然な話し方をする（AIでも出力しないような、規範的すぎる日本語を話す）親しみにくい人物として描かれており、久美子に他の先生からもらった飴を渡す場面は「君が思ってるよりも俺は人間的な奴だよ」と言いたいのだろうと解釈できます。あすか先輩の場合は、人とのコミュニケーションに壁を作る近寄りがたい旧家のお嬢様だということを前提にすれば演出の意味が理解できると思います。

Traumadumping itself is something I'm confused by because what I do (diagnosed HPD, might have ASD) is just emotionlessly recount things that are relevant to a situation that others find traumatic to hear But my understanding is BPD traumadumping comes with a need to be consoled

Stamina is practically nothing, I lasted 6 minutes trying to do my old exercise routine before I needed to stop May is rebuilding month Actually, most of 2026 will be, I was deathly ill for almost 6 months straight I'm channeling my anger at people online into recovery

How are you 30 and can't read a first person story? I'm so glad that even though I write fic I never fell into the trap of reading much of it because I can tell it would absolutely rot my brain and make me a compliment moron if I had done so There but for the grace of God go I

every time i get recommended a book, its almost always first person and its one of the reasons i dont read fiction novels. fanfics (especially ship fics) conditioned me to read in third person and i just wish more published books were third person because of it😭

@bolt_crank @PokemonGems It's bad that the game tells you to use Ghost on Psychic given the coding error (and all available Ghosts also being Poison type) but I actually appreciate Saffron Gym being a difficulty spike in an otherwise very easy game Finding solutions at a low level is a lot of fun

@XPSlactime @PokemonGems Not to "green vegetables" people but I actually think that people constantly complaining about how "janky" old games are blows and I think people need to learn how to appreciate the friction I have difficulty getting into later Pokémon games because they're way too easy

@PokemonGems I don't agree with the idea that they're unplayable, and it has nothing to do with the coding errors, but I will say if you're used to modern games and haven't played the first two gens it can be hard to go back to such a simple formula. Saying this as a fan of them

"The only good Pokémon games are the ones I played as a kid" going really strongly on here right now IDK, as someone who didn't grow up with games from the 70s and 80s but loves them, I think most people have no patience for friction in trying new old things and it sucks
