Main takeouts from my days @BrauBeviale 2023 are: 1. #maltster and #brewer both expect a tough start in 2024 with lower #malt demand due to an expect drop in #beer consumption. #malt stocks are high. 2. Within Europe the U.K. and Irish malt industry is currently less effected as demand from #distillers remains strong. 3. After sharp beer prices increases of up to 25% YoY #brewers in Europe have started to reduce prices again to stimulate consumer demand.
