@jenesaispaii@Wise Yes I had money stolen by them too. A vendor issued a refund via Wise and then Wise sent the money back to the vendor when we tried to get the cash.
yes, I’m crashing out rn, like they’re literally thieves and getting away with this. I do not recommend Wise at all to anyone. it’s definitely not wise to bank with @Wise

turns out I’m not the only one this has happened too. apparently, @Wise is known for this. as in, they close people’s accounts for no reason and refuse to send them their balance to another account. I’ve been emailing them and still no resolution. @Wise

BREAKING: @Wise 🇬🇧 has just launched its UK Current Account, going head to head with Monzo, Revolut and the high street banks!
The company, co-founded by @kaarmann and @taavet in 2011, built its name on cheap, transparent cross-border transfers.
Now it's coming for your primary bank account.
This is a BIG deal.
The new accounts let customers hold money and earn interest, set up direct debits for recurring payments, spend across 40 currencies at the mid-market rate, all in one app.
Wise is giving people a reason to make it their main account. Direct debits. Interest on balances. Everyday spending.
And with £250bn sitting in UK accounts earning nothing, the timing couldn't be better.
The numbers are WILD:
🚀 £250bn sitting in UK current accounts earning 0% interest, Wise wants that money
🚀 3.26% variable interest rate on GBP balances, with NO lock-in period
🚀 Half of all UK deposits, over £4bn, already held in Wise Assets
Nilan Peiris, Chief Product Officer at Wise, said:
"Banks haven't kept pace with what customers expect."
He's not wrong.
Amazing stuff @kaarmann and the whole Wise team!
@parasaran Hi! We try to move money as quickly as possible, but sometimes it can take a little longer. Keep in mind that the timeframe depends on several factors. If the app shows a 7-day timeframe, there might be something causing this. Send us a DM if you need help.
@Wise how long does it take the money added to Wise Debit card from bank account.
While making the transfer it says 3 mins and once done it says will be credited in 7 days.

@Wise Is it mandatory for a recipient to have both a first name and a last name to receive money?
What if the bank account has only a single name (e.g., Rinkesh) with no surname is it still possible to send money in that case, or will the transfer fail?
@raju745662213 Hey, Rinkesh! We remember getting back to you about this in the past, but to reiterate: If you only have one name in your Indian bank account, the sender should enter your name twice when setting up a transfer on Wise (e.g. 'Rinkesh Rinkesh').
If this doesn't work, please DM us.
