Cette nuit, au moins 73 Gazaouis ont été assassinés par des frappes israéliennes dans la bande de Gaza, après l'annonce d'un accord de #CessezLeFeu hier soir, dont 9 enfants et 24 femmes, et au moins 200 autres ont été blessés. L’accord est fragile, l’opposition importante dans l'armée et ses milices barbares. L’opinion publique israélienne soutient un cessez-le-feu et la libération des otages, mais soutient également à la continuation du carnage, toujours en ignorant l’ampleur du désastre. Depuis le 8 octobre 2023 on le dit sans cesse : seule une réelle pression internationale sur #Israël peut mener à un accord. Il y a quelques jours, l'ultimatum de #Trump a forcé #Netanyahu à accepter un accord déjà proposé en mai dernier, mais qu'il avait toujours refusé, comme il avait refusé de poursuivre les échanges d'otages et de prisonniers en décembre 2023. Quelle honte, quelle tristesse : beaucoup d'indignation et de condamnations, mais surtout beaucoup de mots creux. La France, la communauté internationale, les États-Unis, l’Union européenne, la Ligue arabe – personne n'a osé mettre une vraie pression sur Israël avant l'arrivée de Trump. Military takeover of Palestinian family homes is a practice Israel employed during its previous war on Iran in June 2025. It is a grave violation of the basic rights of Palestinian residents, first and foremost, the right to life. Fuel and gas shortage As the fuel shortage across the West Bank worsens, gas and fueling stations have seen long lines and rationing has been introduced. Missiles and lack of protection Missile fragments have fallen in several areas in the West Bank in the districts of Hebron, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Jenin, Nablus, and east of Jerusalem. Mon petit hommage à mon amie Leila Shahid sur I24news.

Tout le monde connaît Leila Shahid. Il y a 20 ans à ses côtés je voyais les passants l’arrêter pour un autographe ou une photo. Elle est la Palestine incarnée dans le monde francophone. C’est elle qui m’a convaincu de rejoindre la diplomatie ou comme elle le disait, d’avoir l’honneur de représenter une cause et un peuple. J’ai eu l’honneur de servir à ses côtés, d’apprendre à ses côtés, de côtoyer sa grandeur d’âme et de cœur et de voir comment elle porte en elle les aspirations et les souffrances de son peuple. Si universelle et si palestinienne. Si vraie, si naturelle, brisant sciemment les codes de la diplomatie tout en étant une diplomate par excellence. Sa voix s’est confondu avec celle de son peuple. Une voix pour la justice, pour la liberté, pour la paix. Je l’ai vu face aux menaces et aux attaques faire preuve d’un courage remarquable physique et politique. Proche de tout le monde, elle était dans un environment familier parmi l’élite intellectuelle et politique et parmi les gens les plus démunis. Humaine. Les gens lui importaient vraiment. Pas par calcul ou pour les apparences. Mais parce qu’elle était de tous les mondes et consciente de la vie, du potentiel et de la tragédie des gens qui les habitent. Elle était resté militante tout en étant diplomate, sans jamais renoncer ou renier quoique ce soit de sa vérité. Elle croyait à la justice comme fondement de tout engagement. Elle croyait au pouvoir rédempteur de la culture et de l’art. Ce monde nouveau n’était pas compatible avec qui elle était. Voir son peuple se faire massacrer nuit et jour était par delà sa force que je croyais pourtant infinie. Elle avait un certain nombre de fils et fille adoptives au cours de sa vie. Elle m’appelait le premier d’entre eux, un des titres les plus importants de ma vie. Elle pèse dans la vie de tellement de gens qui ont eu la chance de la connaître. Nous sommes nombreux à lui devoir tant. Elle a des amis partout dans ce monde. Elle continuera à nous inspirer et à vivre en nous maintenant qu’il nous revient de porter ce fardeau de l’espoir devenu trop lourd pour elle.

Elle fut depuis des décennies l’inlassable voix de la Palestine en France et en Europe. Leïla Shahid n’est plus. Avec son suicide, le glas sonne sur la terre pour toute l’humanité. Adieu mon amie, si belle personne, si joyeuse combattante.
