No, not everyone is 'a little adhd'. Your paper cut and our fracture can both be painful, but we can't just use a bandaid like you. ADHD symptoms can seem relatable to most people but what makes it ADHD is it's severity, duration and how much it affects our lives.

Yes, everyone finds it easier to do what they are interested in, and struggle with what they are not. For a NT, that can be the difference between an A and a C. For an ADHDer, it might be the difference between an A and failing for 8 years straight (speaking from experience).

@ABCsofADHD I’m still dealing with something that was a consequence of adhd after like…11 years. It’s forgetting to pay bills on time, being late for work and having a hard time keeping a job down cause my sense of time is ruined, not messaging people back and so much more.

@ABCsofADHD @Madiii03 I wish everyone understood their "ADHD moments" are ours 24/7 365. Our ND faucet never turns off, medication can help but it won't make us NT.

@ABCsofADHD Diagnosed at 7, I Was given Adderall, the side effects were not fun, I now have IBS and chronic stomach issues I feel like the importance of letting a child grow without brain altering medication should not be understated

@ABCsofADHD Tell me if I'm wrong but this just feels like gatekeeping. NT people have some of the symptoms we have, so "a little ADHD" feels like an inept description to me.

@ABCsofADHD So a kid can show all the signs of ADHD but not actually have it (if that makes sense)?

@ABCsofADHD I think neurotypical people should be able to use ADHD tips where and when they need to if they experience some symptoms, without telling people with actual ADHD they are lazy or not trying hard enough

@ABCsofADHD For years I would joke with my partner about how relatable ADHD memes were but watching him function was like "No, I obviously don't have it, lol" Last year I started looking into getting assessed/treatment. But everything clicked this year when I found my old school records.

@ABCsofADHD I hate this saying so much because it completely downplays the struggle. I was diagnosed last December and it made my whole life make sense.

@ABCsofADHD It is not am exaggeration when I say that having untreated ADHD has literally ruined my life. We can all be forgetful at times, but for some it's truly debilitating.

@ABCsofADHD @jiggyjayy2 Time blindness, losing things, and being disorganized seem to be the biggest issues for me☹️ I’ve gotten at least 3 new bank cards every year, I’m late to work all the time no matter when my shift starts, I could wake up extra early and still be late. I get flustered-
