Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I think it's insanely lame that Waymo employs people overseas to monitor their cars. Feels like a GIANT national security issue. Why not just hire people in the US? Are your operations that unprofitable that you can't afford to hire Americans? I don't like it.

@farzyness Waymo just raised $16 billion. That should be enough to bring those 35 remote operator jobs in the Philippines to the U.S.

@SawyerMerritt @farzyness Do they fly over the Philipinos to a California DMV and make them get a license? Or do we just trust that they can safely remotely drive in California/US?
