During their Kurakara Town battle, they were probably about equal.
If we take Aizen's implication that he has twice the reiatsu of a Captain at face value, Ichigo had a similar amount of reiatsu. As he explained to Unohana, the condition of his clothing is related to how much reiatsu he has left. When she was estimating his spiritual pressure to be on the level of a Captain, he was only at about half power; potentially even less.
Which is why she changed tact and started to heal him, because she recognized that he was approximately as powerful as Aizen.
Problem is, Ichigo's ability to use his power is abysmal at best. He isn't as skilled or as efficient as Aizen at manipulating it, and he can become easily unfocused and rattled.
So it's impossible to say how they compared at the end; although I suspect Ichigo was the stronger of the two, Aizen’s hōgyoku gives a fair advantage.

Why do so many Bleach fans act like Aizen has more spiritual energy than Ichigo? If we're talking pure Reiryoku, what feat or statement actually puts Aizen above Ichigo? Or it's just another fandom claim?
