Chinnaswamy was wild. 18 years and finally a trophy. In all that chaos, many lost their lives. Those lives are mere numbers. Totally avoidable. We show up in lakhs for cricket, movies, politics but not when it’s about roads, schools, hospitals. If even half that crowd turned up asking for better infrastructure, India would be a different place. Celebrate the win, sure. Remember to also ask why it takes a tragedy for us to notice what’s broken?
